Post by Computer Guru Wed Jun 17, 2009 10:29 am

DataSafe Backup is a powerful software
application that contains all the functionality needed to help you keep
your data protected. With it you will be able to quickly set up an
optimal backup strategy that will keep your files safe at all times.
DataSafe Backup will allow you to easily structure your
backups into multiple jobs so that each type of data is backed up at
the right time intervals and with the right settings. The built in
scheduler will ensure that your jobs run with accuracy at the intervals
specified by you. The backups can be compressed to save space and the files that contain sensitive information can be encrypted using a strong 256-bit AES encryption method. Furthermore, the files in a backup can be restored promptly to their original location or to an alternate destination.

Features:

  • Intuitive and easy to use interface.
  • Full, incremental, differential, and mirror backup types.
  • Backups can be compressed in the standard zip format.
  • Backups can be encrypted using a 256-bit AES encryption method.
  • Backup of locked or open files is fully supported.
  • Files that are unchanged between different backup versions can be copied via hard links. This feature was inspired by this article.
  • Backups can be targeted to any of the following destinations: hard disk, network share, cd, and ftp.
  • The built-in scheduler allows backups to run unattended.
  • Detailed event logs are created after each backup or restore.
  • Existing backups can be restored to the original or an alternate location.
  • The files to be saved can be filtered with include and exclude filters.
